How to clean a menstrual cup

See Before First Use for how to clean your menstrual cup right out of the box. You can also sanitize your cup using the Saalt Steamer, or Saalt Compact Sanitizer. 

During your period, remove the cup (always use clean hands) and rinse first using cold water to help avoid discoloration and odor. Then wash using warm water and mild soap (like our Saalt Wash). Rinse again to completely remove any soap. OR, just use Saalt Wipes to clean your cup. Your cup is then ready to reinsert.

Are menstrual cups messy?

Trust us, you can change your cup without making a mess! You just need to know how to remove it properly. With a little practice you’ll have it down in no time. (Or should we say up?!)
