Fire in the forest.

A Call to Menstruating Firefighters and PNW Relief

Date: October 9th, 2020

Join us as we donate to the Pacific Northwest Relief & Recovery Fund AND change the way firefighters have their periods.

As fires ravish the Pacific Northwest, tens of thousands of people have lost their businesses and been uprooted from their homes. At Saalt, these fires hit especially close to home as several members of our families fight the flames. Here’s how we’re doing our part to help:

With our dollars:

On October 9th 2020, we’re donating 100% of website profits to the Pacific Northwest Relief & Recovery Fund to help displaced families in need of food, shelter, childcare, healthcare, and other critical services.

With FREE cups for menstruating firefighters:

Through the end of October 2020, we’re offering all active menstruating firefighters a FREE Saalt Cup to say thank you! To get your free cup, send your mailing address, a photo of you in uniform, and your preferred size and cup color to saaltgives@saalt.com.

Female firefighter in action

Just like you, we break boundaries.

This is our call to all menstruating firefighters who work tirelessly to contain the flames and keep our families and homes safe. To say thank you, Saalt hopes to make it easier for firefighters to care for their periods in the field, especially under extreme circumstances.

Nearly 40% of menstruating firefighters fear their periods will impact their job. Being a firefighter is already tough work before adding a period to the mix. Heavy equipment, ill-fitting uniforms, and life-threatening circumstances are all a part of a day’s work in the field. Menstrual cups are more comfortable and stay put for 12 hours, making them an ideal option for emergency personnel.

Remember to email saaltgives@saalt.com with your mailing address, a photo of you in uniform, and your preferred size and cup color to claim your free cup through the end of October 2020!

To further help displaced communities, please consider donating to the Pacific Northwest Relief & Recovery Fund.
