Care Instructions

Sanitize your cup before first use and before or after each period. You can do this by boiling your cup, wiping with 70% isopropyl alcohol, or using the Saalt Steamer or Saalt Compact Sanitizer.

During your period, you will want to clean your cup at least once every 12 hours. You can do so by rinsing the cup with cold water (to prevent staining) and then washing the cup with hot water and Saalt Wash or another wash that is mild, pH-balanced, fragrance-free, oil-free, and rinses clean with no residue.

Soo difficult to remove

"I love the idea and I will continue to give this a chance until I gain confidence in removal. I just don’t love sticking my whole hand up myself to get this thing out. It’s so time-consuming too. I’ve tried all the tips and tricks but it still takes multiple attempts to get it out. It’s also not fully 12 hour leak proof (regular size) since my heavier overnight flow ended up causing leakage at the 6 hour mark and I needed a pad for the rest of the night. That was the only day I struggled with leakage though. Most of my frustration comes when it’s time to remove it. I can’t use the string/tab but I cannot easily reach the base of the cup in between two fingers. I’m sore from my days of attempting again and again to get it out. My BEST luck at removal is in the shower. And I can’t do that at work… ugh anyway. I loved not using tampons but wow I need way more practice in the removal."
