Care Instructions

Sanitize your cup before first use and before or after each period. You can do this by boiling your cup, wiping with 70% isopropyl alcohol, or using the Saalt Steamer or Saalt Compact Sanitizer.

During your period, you will want to clean your cup at least once every 12 hours. You can do so by rinsing the cup with cold water (to prevent staining) and then washing the cup with hot water and Saalt Wash or another wash that is mild, pH-balanced, fragrance-free, oil-free, and rinses clean with no residue.

So comfy and easy, I don't mind getting my period at all anymore because I don't have to carry around supplies and worry about leakage. Love that it's zero-waste and overall just simplifies the hassle that already comes with getting your period.

  • Peytton

I stopped using tampons about a year ago and it's the best decision I've ever made! The Saalt Cup has saved me so much money because I'm not buying tampons every single month. I was so worried when I switched to a period cup that I would be uncomfortable. This is flexible, it molds to your body, it's soft, and when you insert it you can't even feel it.

  • Kels

The Saalt Cup is my new bestie! Well technically not new, we've been best friends for about 5 years. Imagine how much money I've saved not buying tampons!

Reviews

Amazing for Heavy Flow!

"I have a lot of fragrance allergies and was bummed when my previous tampons and liners caused a reaction. That led me to trying a menstrual cup for the first time. I tried the Saalt small cup in blue during my last cycle and loved it! Since I have super heavy flow for the first 3 days (changing super+ tampons every 2 hours kinda heavy) I was a bit concerned about longevity and leaks, but the cup definitely delivered! I ordered the regular sized cup in pink so I can keep it in for 12 hours during my work shift without needing to change it. No allergies were set off and no leaks! For me there was a bit of a learning curve, but I figured out the punch-down fold and squatting to insert and remove works best for me. One tip I have is to file your nails down as much as possible- long nails may cause pinching of your vaginal canal as you're removing the cup. I'm so happy to have a solution that doesn't set me off, low cost and easy once you have the hang of it!"

My Review for the Saalt Cup

"It works great! My very first menstural cup and it fits like a glove. I appreciated the little instruction packet as well as the nice baggie it came in. Definitely a purchase I don't regret so far. :)"

Grace Z. (5/5)

I love my cup and

"I love my cup and I’m so happy I switched. There’s definitely a learning curve at the beginning but once you get the hang of it it’s great. It’s super convenient because it lasts 12 hours and it’s small enough to travel on the go."

Emily B. (5/5)

The best cup out there

"I have dried a few brands of cup and this one has been the most reliable. Other brands tend to leak but this one is great, even at the gym!"

Kendra W. (5/5)

Too firm for a beginner

"Silicone is way too firm for a beginner, unfortunately required a trip to the ED and a medical professional to remove. Do not recommend! ☹️"

Gabby W. (1/5)

To firm and no grip

"This cup is way too firm and hard to squeeze to take out. And the stem had no grip creating more problems"

Isabel S. (1/5)

Great Menstrual Cup

"I've bought this cup before, and it lasted me years before the little grip tip broke off. I was definitely removing it wrong that time, but I liked the cup so much that I decided to get a new one. I like the little bag that it comes with, so I can put it in my purse for on the go."

Kathryn D. (5/5)

Too big still

"It does not fit…. I got the smaller one folded it up like the instructions said but it literally does not fit inside me. Maybe once I’m sexually active it’ll be better… I use super tampons so I assumed it would work. I’m keeping it to use later."

Sarah P. (1/5)

First timer

"I’m middle aged and this was my first time using a cup. Ever. Found it on sale at my local drug store and said why not give it a try? I’ve been using tampons. Constantly having to be mindful of carrying them around and buying more when I run out. My cycles are typically heavy in the beginning so I even found myself investing in disposable underwear to avoid overnight leakage. Just a moment ago, I emptied the cup, washed and reinserted. No issues. Instructions on website are simple to find and navigate. I love the fact that it comes with a cute holder bag. I’m impressed so far. As a first time user and customer of the cup, it looks like I’m here to stay."

Dae C. (5/5)

Almost perfect

"So only cup postpartum that has worked. Tried disc types, but they were such an awful mess and really didn’t stay in place. I find this one really does. Only complaint would be that it’s so firm it may be contributing to the cramping a bit? Might be too soon to say. Easy to clean, doesn’t get smelly, relatively easy to insert."
